After the destruction of Neo Tokyo at the hands of the Kaiju, 5 Great Masters emerged. They each wielded an ancient artifact known as the Gems of Power; mystical relics with unknown potential. They fused the gems with the Talisman of Fate and harnessed its power to open a gateway and cast a spell, consuming the Kaiju into the void and banishing them from this realm. The masters followed without a known end or destination, for the only way to close the rift was to enter the abyss and seal it from within.

During their journey the cosmic forces began to take hold of the Kaiju, the Masters themselves, and the Talisman, twisting and corrupting their very essence. If not for their ancient ritual, the Masters surely would have gone mad. The Kaiju though, grew darker and more distorted. The fabric of time and space warped and collapsed. A bright light emerged, illuminating a new passage, and an opening appeared. The travelers were extracted from the wormhole and gravity took hold. Planet Cronos was upon them.

The Masters awoke with the Kaiju towering above them. With a final burst of energy from the Talisman they cast a spell, sealing the Kaiju deep in the core of Cronos. Such power caused the gems to fracture. They exploded in a flash of blinding light, splintering into countless shards and embedding themselves across the vast expanse of Cronos. The Masters knew their spell would not contain the beasts forever, but the enchanted beauty of Cronos mesmerized them, washing their memories of the dangers that lie deep within the core. Eons passed...

The crust of Cronos began to tremor, a long-forgotten energy was awakening. The villagers, worried for the future of their planet, turned to the last living master for wisdom. In his final breath, he bestowed upon them an ancient tapestry- The Scroll of Ages. Opening the scroll revealed the secrets of the Talisman of Fate, the power of the gems, and the dangers of the beasts buried deep below the surface. Imprinted upon the last lines of the scroll lie instructions for creating a new set of Talismans. Few embodied the skills necessary to forge these mysterious artifacts.

The tremors of Cronos are accelerating, tearing the planet’s crust to the core. A mysterious, thick green smoke begins to emanate through. Only the chosen ones will set out on a journey like no other, to gather the lost gem shards and unite them with the talismans… to harness an untapped energy and prepare to face a power unknown...
